In Bloom
Patience is a virtue when it comes to orchids. They are a fussy bunch and I tend to think that they have a mind of their own. I've had this one for three years and unlike the other orchids I've had she's a keeper. This is the fourth time she's bloomed over the years but didn't bloom at all last year. She's testing me, I'm sure of it.

My tips & tricks - I only water mine twice a month (if I remember). I set the pot in the sink and run water to really soak it, leave it in the sink to completely drain. I don't fertilize and she sits in my kitchen window with filtered light facing south. Don't cut the stem after blooming, new growth will develop on this stem but it takes forever, patience!
